Protecting your data is important to us. PawoSec was developed with the goal of managing your passwords and access credentials as completely as possible locally on your device. PawoSec does not require registration, a user account, or cloud synchronization for basic use. Password data stored in PawoSec is not transferred to Sympicon or to external servers.

2. What Data Does PawoSec
Process?
PawoSec
processes data that you enter yourself within the app, for
example:
Passwords, Usernames, Internet addresses (URLs),
Email addresses,
Notes, Categories and tags, TOTP/2FA data, Favorites, App settings made by you
This data is used exclusively for the functions of PawoSec and is generally stored locally on your device. PawoSec does not transfer your stored passwords and access credentials to Sympicon or to external servers.
3. No Registration and No User
Account
No sign-in or
registration is required to use PawoSec. PawoSec does not
require its own user account and does not store centralized
user profiles.
4. No Cloud
Synchronization
PawoSec does not
use its own cloud for storing or synchronizing your password
data. The access
credentials stored in PawoSec are not automatically transferred
over the Internet. PawoSec
is designed as an offline password manager and can generally be
used without an Internet connection.
5. No Analytics, Tracking or Advertising
Services
PawoSec does not use analytics or tracking
services to collect information about your usage
behavior.
In
particular, no user profiles are created for advertising or
analytics purposes. PawoSec contains no advertising.
6. Security and
Encryption
PawoSec uses
various technical security measures to protect stored
data.
These include, among
others:

encryption
• PBKDF2 for
deriving cryptographic keys
• Protected key
and session management
• Face ID /
Touch ID
• Automatic
lock
• Clipboard
protection
• Protection
when displayed in the App Switcher
• Rate
limiting
• Password
security analysis
• Encrypted
local backups

PawoSec includes a total of 21 integrated security features designed to support the protection of the password vault.
7. Face ID and Touch
ID
PawoSec may use
the Face ID and Touch ID features provided by Apple for
authentication.
PawoSec does not
receive or store biometric data. Biometric verification is
performed by the corresponding security functions of
iOS.
8. Apple
Keychain
PawoSec may use
the Apple Keychain provided by Apple to securely store certain
security-related information.
Processing takes
place within the system functions provided by Apple. PawoSec
does not transfer this information to its own servers.
9.
Clipboard
PawoSec allows
credentials such as usernames, passwords, URLs, email addresses
and other data to be copied to the
clipboard.
As a result,
such data may temporarily be available in the iOS
clipboard. PawoSec does
not transfer copied data to its own
servers.
PawoSec
automatically removes copied sensitive data from the clipboard
after the specified protection period of 20
seconds.
10. Password
AutoFill
PawoSec can use Apple's AutoFill
functionality to conveniently use access credentials on
supported websites and in supported
apps.
AutoFill is used
through the corresponding iOS functions. PawoSec does not
transfer password data to its own servers in this
process.
11. Encrypted
Backups
PawoSec allows
encrypted .pwsc
backups to be
created. These backups
are created locally and stored by the user at the location of
their choice.
PawoSec
does not automatically transfer backups to its own servers or
to a PawoSec cloud. The security of
an exported backup also depends on where and how the user
stores the file.
12. Deletion of
Data
PawoSec provides
functions for deleting individual password entries as well as
multiple or all stored entries. In addition,
PawoSec provides functions for completely resetting the
password vault. The data
stored on the device is deleted according to the respective
functions of the app.
Since PawoSec does not store a centralized copy of your password data on its own servers, Sympicon does not have a centralized password database from which your stored credentials could be deleted or restored.
13. Storage
Period
The passwords
and access credentials you store in PawoSec remain on your
device until you delete them yourself within the app or remove
the corresponding app data.
Sympicon does
not store a centralized copy of this data.
Data that you send to us by email as part of a support request is stored only for as long as necessary to process and respond to your request. It is then deleted unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

If you contact
us by email, the information you provide is used exclusively to
process your request.

Requests are not shared for advertising or tracking purposes.
15. Disclosure to Third
Parties
PawoSec does not
transfer any passwords or access credentials stored in the app
to Sympicon or other third parties. This data is not
disclosed for advertising, analytics or tracking
purposes.
If technical service providers are used for the transmission and storage of emails when contacting us, these providers may process the communication data required for this purpose.
16. App Store and In-App
Purchases
The download of
PawoSec and any available in-app purchases are processed
through the Apple App Store and the payment systems provided by
Apple.
PawoSec does not
receive complete payment information such as credit card or
bank account details.
The processing
of payment and purchase data by Apple is governed by Apple's
privacy policy.
17. Your Privacy Rights
Under applicable data protection
laws, you have, in particular, the right
to:
• Access your
personal data
• Correct
inaccurate data
• Delete your
personal data
• Restrict
processing
• Object to
certain processing activities
• Data
portability, where the legal requirements are met
Since PawoSec stores your password data exclusively locally on your device and does not transmit a centralized copy to Sympicon, Sympicon cannot access this locally stored data. If you have questions about your privacy rights, you can contact us at any time: info@sympicon.com
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

Security
We take appropriate technical and
organizational measures to protect personal data against
unauthorized access, loss, alteration or unauthorized
disclosure.
PawoSec was
specifically designed so that sensitive password data does not
need to be stored on its own servers.
19. Changes to This Privacy
Policy
This Privacy
Policy may be updated if PawoSec, its technical functions, the
services used, or legal requirements
change.
The current
version will be made available at the Privacy Policy URL
published by Sympicon.
