Policy
Protecting stored data comes
first. KiloQ keeps entered data exclusively on the device. No
registration is required. No tracking takes place. Data is sent
over the internet only through a deliberate action.
What data is
stored?
Entered data and settings remain
on the device. This includes, for example, weight, calories,
body measurements, foods, favorites, notes, photos, and PDFs.
No automatic transmission, synchronization, or storage on
external servers takes place.
No registration
required
KiloQ requires no user account or
sign-in.
No
tracking
KiloQ uses no analytics,
tracking, or advertising services. No usage data is collected
or analyzed.
Apple
Health
After Health is enabled, KiloQ
only reads values for display on the device: active energy,
resting energy, steps, distance, heart rate, oxygen saturation,
flights climbed, exercise time, and stand time. Health data is
not written, uploaded, or shared with third parties. Access is
controlled in the Health app.
Camera
The camera is used only to scan
nutrition facts or barcodes and to take photos. Photos remain
on the device.
Media
Photos and PDFs stay in the app
on the device and are not uploaded to iCloud.
Barcode / Open Food
Facts
A barcode is looked up locally
first. If the product is missing, only the code is sent to Open
Food Facts to retrieve the name and nutrition values. The
request happens only after a deliberate action, never
automatically. Without internet, locally stored foods remain
available. No Open Food Facts account is created.
In-app
purchase
The optional purchase is
processed through the App Store. Payment details are handled by
Apple, not by KiloQ.
Trial
The trial start is stored in the
Keychain and may sync via iCloud Keychain to other devices with
the same Apple ID. Weight, calories, measurements, and media
are not transferred this way.
Backup, export &
import
Backups, exports, and imports
happen only through deliberate actions. Destination and timing
are chosen when the feature is used. The file is unencrypted
(plain text) and should be shared only with trusted people or
services.
