The protection of personal data
is an essential part of SympNote.
The app has been designed so that
information collected within the app is generally processed and
stored locally on the respective device.
SympNote does not require a user account and does not transmit data stored within the app to Sympicon or to servers operated by Sympicon.

2. What Data Does
SympNote Process?
SympNote enables the collection
and management of various types of personal information. This
may include, in particular:
• Symptoms and
complaints
• Well-being and mood
information
• Notes and personal
descriptions
• Categories and individually
created criteria
• Information about activities,
triggers, and patterns
• Media stored within the
app
• Other information voluntarily
entered or recorded within the app
This information is used exclusively to provide the corresponding functions of SympNote.
3. Local
Storage
Data collected within SympNote is
generally stored locally on the respective device and processed
within the app.
SympNote does not transmit this
data to Sympicon, external servers, or other third
parties.
There is no automatic
transmission of data stored within the app to the
Internet.
4. No Registration or
User Account
No registration or user account
is required to use SympNote.
Sympicon does not create or
maintain user profiles for the use of the app.
5. No Tracking or
Analytics
SympNote does not use its own
analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
No user profiles are created, and
no data is collected for advertising or tracking
purposes.
SympNote does not contain
personalized advertising.
6. No Sharing of App
Data
Personal information stored
within SympNote is not sold, rented, or disclosed to third
parties for advertising purposes.
SympNote does not transmit data
to external servers or analytics providers.
7. Export and Sharing by
the User
SympNote provides functions for
exporting or sharing certain information stored within the
app.
When such a function is
intentionally used, the respective user decides which data is
exported or shared with a selected recipient or service through
the functions provided by iOS.
The respective recipient is responsible for any further processing of data that has been intentionally exported or shared in this manner.
8. Storage and
Deletion
Data stored within SympNote
remains on the respective device until it is deleted within the
app, the app data is removed, or the app is
uninstalled.
Sympicon does not possess a copy
of this locally stored data and therefore cannot remotely
delete data stored on the device.
To the extent that data is
included in regular backup functions provided by the operating
system,
such data may be stored as part
of a backup provided by the respective operating system or
service. Sympicon does not have access to such backups.
9. Privacy When
Contacting Us
If contact is made by email, the
information voluntarily provided in the course of the contact
will be used exclusively to process and respond to the
respective inquiry.
This may include, in particular,
the email address, a name if provided, and the content of the
message.
The inquiry will not be shared
for advertising or tracking purposes.
Email communication is
additionally subject to the privacy policies and technical
conditions of the respective email service used.

10. In-App
Purchases
If SympNote offers paid features
or in-app purchases, payment processing is carried out through
the systems provided by Apple.
Sympicon does not receive
complete payment information such as credit card or bank
account details.
The processing of payment and
transaction data by Apple is subject to Apple's privacy
policies.
11. Protection of
Personal Data
SympNote has been developed with
the aim of reducing the amount of data processed outside the
device to the necessary minimum.
Since personal app data is
generally processed locally, control over this data remains
with the respective user of the device.
Despite careful technical design,
no system can guarantee absolute security.
Protecting the device,
particularly by using an appropriate device
passcode,
Face ID or Touch ID, and keeping
the software up to date, provides additional protection for the
stored data.
12. Changes to This
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be
amended if the functions of SympNote or applicable data
protection requirements change.
The current version of this
Privacy Policy will be published at the designated Privacy
Policy URL.
